Sheikh Ali Bin Jabor Al-Thani was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar in January 2023.

Most recently, Sheikh Ali Bin Jabor Al-Thani was the Group Chief Legal, Regulatory & Governance Officer, a position he held from March 2020 until his appointment as CEO of Ooredoo Qatar.

In this role, Sheikh Ali oversaw Ooredoo’s global legal activities and policies, as well as ethics, brand protection, compliance and regulatory affairs, including process automation and anticipation of future transactional needs. He was responsible for the provision of progressive, strategic and proactive advice to the Board and Executive Management on all aspects of governance, policies, global legal compliance and regulatory frameworks across the group.

Prior, Sheikh Ali was the Group’s Chief Corporate Governance Officer from January 2018 until March 2020 is the Secretary of the Board since 2018.

Sheikh Ali joined Ooredoo Group in 2013 and served in a number of roles, including Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer of Ooredoo Qatar.

As a pioneer leader with a proven track record of driving success, and leading the development of the company’s short- and long-term strategy, Abdulaziz has accomplished tremendous achievements across B2B sales, Marketing, Information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, and Digital Sales along with supporting executive leaders within the company, including directors, vice presidents, and presidents.

Abdulaziz widely commended for his passion and commitment to leadership, seeking to make a difference as an enabler of change, advocating for the region’s IT sector and using his own story of achievements to stimulate progress in the realm of technology and sales.

Abdulaziz has a wealth of experience and has charted and executed business and sales strategies across numerous leading entities within the country and the region, with a focus on technology, telecommunication, and banking. In decision making, he has the ability to make decisions, to make the right timely decisions with the greatest value.

Currently, Abdulaziz is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ooredoo Kuwait. Before joining Ooredoo Kuwait, he was the Chief Operating Officer at FASTtelco.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Portland State University and also holds a range of certificates; Project Management Professional (PMP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and IMD leadership certificate, and George Washington (IT PMP).

Saoud joined Ooredoo in 2009, bringing with him over 18 years of experience in commercial strategies including Sales and Marketing gained through his diverse career across various sectors, including hotel management and automobile sales.

Since joining Ooredoo, Saoud has held several leadership positions, most notably as Head of Business Sales, then General Manager of the Commercial Unit, and eventually Chief of the Business and Wholesale Unit. Al Riyami was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in August 2025.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Sultan Qaboos University and has earned several professional leadership certifications from prestigious institutions, most notably Harvard Business School.

Dr. Samer Fares was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Palestine in May 2023.

He has been with Ooredoo since 2007 and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

Dr. Fares worked at Ooredoo Palestine In 2007 as General Counsel, successfully overseeing the launch of the company in 2009.

In 2012 he joined Ooredoo Group as Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs where he was instrumental in managing legal and regulatory risks, providing strategic advice, and fostering strong relationships with regulatory bodies.

He has also served as Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer at Ooredoo Algeria, further bolstering his telecommunications portfolio and legal acumen in mitigating risks, driving team performance, and demonstrating exceptional leadership competence.

Prior to his tenure at Ooredoo, Dr. Fares held the position of Director of the Institute of Law and Head of the Legal Department at the Faculty of Law and Public Administration at Birzeit University.

Amer Al Sunna, Chief Executive Officer of Asiacell Iraq, previously held the position of Managing Director within the organization since February 2013.

He brings 20 years’ experience to his role, garnered in a range of senior executive positions at high-profile organisations around the world.

Amer initially joined the Ooredoo family as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of wi-tribe Jordan in August 2010, followed by a role as Chief Operating Advisor (COA) for wi-tribe Philippines in August 2011.

Prior to his roles at wi-tribe, Amer was CEO of three specialised telecommunications and internet service companies owned by VTEL Holdings, in the Commonwealth of Independent States, working in Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia.

He has also been Group Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Orange Jordan. Amer remains dedicated to improving customer experience in the communications industry. He has played a key role in the growth of the telecoms sector in his home country of Jordan.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Jordan University.

Roni Tohme was appointed Chief Executive Officer at Ooredoo Algeria in August 2023. He brings over 20 years of experience in finance and telecommunications in several markets.

Roni joined Ooredoo Algeria as Chief Financial Officer in January 2020 where he successfully shaped an agile and lean department. His significant contributions in digital transformation, restructuring, business strategy, cost efficiency programs, significant margin improvement and profitability paved the way for his successful appointment as Acting Chief Executive Officer at Ooredoo Algeria in February 2023.

Prior to joining Ooredoo, he held positions in prominent companies across Africa and Asia – including Areeba, Africell, MTN, Airtel and Axiata Group – gaining expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions, Towerco and business transformation.

Roni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Administration from the American University of Beirut, and a Master’s degree in Finance and Business Management from Walden University, USA.

Eyas Assaf was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Tunisia in January 2026.

He brings with him over 30 years of global and regional experience in financial management and strategic operations across the telecommunications sector.

Eyas joined Ooredoo Group in 2022 and most recently served as Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer, where he played a key role in driving the Group’s financial strategy and transformation agenda. Prior to this, he held Chief Financial Officer roles at Indosat Ooredoo, Ooredoo Algeria, and Asiacell Iraq, contributing to the financial performance and operational resilience of each operating company.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Jordan and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States.

Khalid Al-Hamadi was appointed Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Maldives in February 2022.

He joined Ooredoo Qatar in 2008 and has several years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He has served as a Board Director at Ooredoo Maldives from 2017 to 2021 and has previously held several senior positions at Ooredoo Qatar including Senior Director in Consumer Sales and Assistant Director of Planning & Development.

Additionally, he brings a rich experience of over 15 years in the Oil and Gas industry. Khalid was Head of Quality at Qatargas, where he received the Manager Director Award for Excellent Performance in 2003.  He has worked with General Electric in Florence, Italy, where he used to be the Head of Planning and Strategy and was key to implementing the reorganization initiative in Sales and Service.

Khalid is an experienced and a certified Quality Auditor with distinguishing knowledge about management system, creative initiatives, continuous improvement, processes implementation, statistical analysis and is a certified training manager. He played a key role in conducting internal and external assessments for Ooredoo, as well as developing a number of systems such as KPI monitoring and handling corporate studies for the whole organisation.

Khalid holds a Bachelor of Science in System Engineering from the University of Arizona and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Qatar Leadership Centre.

Vikram Sinha was appointed as the President Director and Chief Executive Officer (PDCEO) of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) dated 28 December 2021.

Vikram is a global telecom executive having worked in various markets of Asia and Africa. Before being appointed as the PDCEO of IOH, Vikram has served as Director & Chief Operating Officer at Indosat Ooredoo since 2019, Vikram served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ooredoo Myanmar (2017-2019) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ooredoo Maldives (2014-2017). He also served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Bharti Airtel Ltd, Congo (2014) and the Managing Director of Bharti Airtel Ltd, Seychelles (2012-2013). Prior to this, Vikram served in various leadership capacities in Bharti Airtel India (2005-2012). He also started his career at major companies such as Coca Cola Ltd. and Star TV India.

Vikram spearheaded turn-around of operations to establish Ooredoo as a significant market player in Maldives, Myanmar, and Indonesia. In addition, Vikram also serves as a Board member in Ooredoo Maldives and Ooredoo Oman (since Dec 2021), Ooredoo Myanmar (since Apr 2019), and a Board of Commissioner (BOC) for Lintasarta, a subsidiary of Indosat Ooredoo (since Mar 2020).

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Bangalore University in 1998, followed by a post-graduate degree in International Management from International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi in 2002.
